App revenue calculator FAQ
How do you calculate app revenue?
Multiply monthly installs by your install to trial rate and your trial to paid rate to get new payers. Carry subscribers forward with a monthly renewal rate, multiply active subscribers by the monthly price, then subtract the store fee.
Which store fee applies to my app?
For auto-renewable subscriptions, Apple says developers receive 70% of the subscription price during a subscriber's first year and 85% after one year of paid service, and App Store Small Business Program members receive 85% from the start (Apple: auto-renewable subscriptions). Pick 15% or 30% to match.
What do the low and high scenarios change?
They scale install to trial and trial to paid down and up by 25%. Installs, price, renewal and fee stay the same.
